Miguel is the founder of Tideplan, a simple tool freelancers use to track their income and see who owes them money. He builds it solo: designing the product, writing the code, and answering the support email.

Tideplan started with a problem he kept running into: freelancers doing great work but losing the thread on the money. An invoice that never went out, a client who quietly paid two months late, a month that felt awful until the numbers were actually laid out. Most tools either ignored all of that or buried it under accounting features nobody asked for. So he built the thing he wished existed: one calm place that answers am I on track, who owes me, and what did I forget to invoice.

It's small on purpose, and it stays that way so it can keep adapting to how real freelancers actually work, instead of forcing them into someone else's system. He writes the guides here in the same spirit: how to get clients to pay on time, what to do about an invoice that's gone quiet, how to keep your income visible without living in a spreadsheet. No fluff, no fabricated stats, just the practical version he'd give a friend.
